Almost a parallel
project. The 10 tracks follow a conceptual-philosophical
path along the lines laid down by Plato's "allegory
of the cave": guitar and guitasynth Fripp's
echoes, vocal parts recited in old greek (Diamanda
Galàs's style), several ethnic instruments,
different atmospheres for a project limited
to "ambient" and "ethnic"
genres. The cover has been looked after to express
the passage "from darkness to light",
from confusion to clarity (and mathematical
demonstration inside is about golden section,
one of the basic principles that regulate the
way we see the things).
In Plato's text the allegory is about men in
the cave, immersed in a world of shadows that
they believe is reality, and the progressive
liberation from these limits until they can
look at the sun directly, but also the return
to the cave, to take one's teachings to the
people yet inside the illusion.
This demo has been carried out featuring Eliseo
Scarpa (bass) in a period in which the band
was changin'. Only the 2 singers, guitarist
and drummer are in the band.
